6-Week Yang Tai Chi Course

Location: Kopifit, 812A John Marks Ave, Kingston East
Dates: Friday, May 10, 24, 31, June 7, 14, 21 (no class May 17)
Time: 10:45am to 12:15pm (90 minutes) 
Investment: $282.50 ($250 +HST) via Interac for all six sessions.

Tai Chi is a practice that involves a series of gentle flowing movements coordinated with controlled breathing and a meditative state of mind.  Tai Chi originated from China.

In this course, you’ll be guided through a traditional and typical Tai Chi practice which includes:

  • A proper warm up

  • Tai Chi specific exercises (too many to list here) to cultivate concentration, breath and of course, components of fitness including strength, mobility and balance

  • Nei Gong (internal energy) practices

  • Personal attention to focus on your body and needs such as exercises and homework

  • Learning/relearning part 1 of the Yang Tai Chi sequence

  • Key Taoist theories applicable to the Tai Chi practice

Please note that you are encouraged to attend all 6 classes to keep up with the class progress. A couple of missed classes are ok. The course is limited to a set amount of students. Please sign up soon if you would like to deepen your practice.

Have a Kit Kat and come relax each Sunday afternoon to kickstart your week. Hang will share and guide you through this comprehensive energetic practice and experience how emotions, mind and body are interconnected. This one-of-a-kind Super Yin Series is designed to help reset and harmonize your energetic body and mind. Each week Hang will introduce a pair of meridians to the Yin yoga practice, coupled with a supplement practice. The sequence and practices are also sharable, if you'd like a home practice after the course. Come and experience a buffet of practices and see which ones resonate with you the most. 

What to Bring: your lovely smile, an open mind, yoga mat, water bottle, a hand towel for savasana and eye massage, layer up with clothing.
