We created Mindfulness for Wellness because these practices have supported our own journey toward peaceful living for more than 20 years. Our hope is to share what we’ve learned - and to offer you guidance, structure, and inspiration to rediscover your own sense of peace and happiness.

Meet Your Facilitators
Hello. We’re Hang & Sarah
We’ve been on the path of wellness for over 20 years. After trying countless fads and quick-fix approaches, we’ve learned that there’s no shortcut to true well-being. Wellness isn’t a destination - it’s a way of life. To reframe the Buddha’s wisdom: “There is no way to wellness. Wellness is the way.”
You’re here because something in your heart knows there’s another way to live - one that’s more connected, balanced, and fulfilling. With that openness, we invite you to walk alongside us on a path that has transformed our own lives and continues to shape our family’s daily rhythm with our two young children.
This course weaves together scientific research and insights on the mind, mindfulness, and somatic practices that help release stress - because we believe knowledge empowers real change. You’ll also explore practical tools and techniques you can use right away, including:
Breathwork
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approaches such as acupressure and Qi Gong
Gentle, mindful movements to ease tension and awaken fresh energy and joy
Our teachings are inspired by many wonderful mentors, especially Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, and the Plum Village spiritual community, whose wisdom continues to guide and nourish our own practice.

What to Expect in Each Module?
Module One: What is Mindfulness?
We begin with an in-depth introduction to mindfulness: the theories, tools, and practices, and how to bring mindfulness into your everyday life right away. We take a brief historical tour of mindfulness and how we can apply this ancient practice into our modern lives.
Module Two: Understand Your Mind
We dive into the inner workings of the mind and how you can use tools and practices to nourish your self-understanding, self-love, compassion, and kindness to help take care of strong emotions. We share interesting scientific research on the brain and mind to empower and strengthen your practice.
Module Three: The Noble Truth About Suffering
The truth is we all experience suffering. The depth and length of suffering on the other hand is optional. We take a macro look at suffering to learn that suffering is our noble friend and understanding the origin of our suffering can be liberating if we stay on the path of well-being. Module three will strengthen your power of mindful living and how you can actively nourish your peace, joy and love.
Module Four: Nourish Your Body & Mind
We reflect and share on the sources of energies that nourish our mind and how we allow things into our consciousness. How do you choose things that nourish your body and mind? We share a step-by-step guide to practice mindful eating and its profound effect on bringing awareness to the food we consume every day. We look at community and how being connected to like-minded folks can support your commitment to mindful living.
Module Five: Mindful Communication & Harmonious Relationships
We look at the art of communication and how to practice deep listening and loving speech with ourselves and our loved ones. We address some of the most common challenges in relationships and how we can increase our capacity for compassion. This module is designed to help you feel more confident when communicating with the challenging people in your life.
Module Six: Cultivate Wellness Habits
We look at the practical aspects of creating habits that support well-being and how to overcome obstacles that get in the way of living mindfully. We introduce the “Four C’s” of mindfulness” and how to actively continue to nourish your mindfulness practice, using all the tools and practices, to live with more joy, peace and ease.
Module Seven: Cycle Wisdom & Prioritizing Rest
We explore how to ground yourself in the cyclical wisdom alive in your body. Discover how to read your body, manage stress, and tailor your self-care to feel more confident, inspired, and at home in yourself. We unpack the myth of working hard to deserve rest and instead look at how you can thrive by making rest a regular part of your daily life. We look at the challenges around sleep and how we can improve our sleep. We dive into the research of how rest heals and supports our nervous system and the seven forms of rest and why we need all of them. We share a rich variety of ways and simple practices to bring rest into your busy life.
Module Eight: Creating Your Support
How can we stay on the path of mindfulness? What do you need and how are you going to access it? We look at all the different resources to support us on our wellness journey. We contemplate on the challenges and obstacles that might arise and how we can invite mindfulness to steady our course of wellness. This final module will guide you onwards in supporting the more peaceful, loving, and joyful version of yourself.
