Qi Gong is a 4000 year-old ancient Chinese discipline that has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Tai Chi is derived from Qi Gong. They are both disciplines that involve the mind, breath, and movement to create a calm, natural balance of energy that can be used in work, recreation or self-defense. 

There many styles of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. The Qi Gong practices we'll be sharing with you are a combination of traditional and modern Qi Gong. The three most popular Tai Chi styles are Yang, Wu, and Tai Chi Chih. The style we teach and practice at saigon om is the short Yang style, which includes 32 movements in its simple form (108 movements in the traditional form). 

By the end of both immersions, you will learn a handful of Qi Gong tools and sequences to help release and activate your Qi for a deeper spiritual practice, as well as the first third of the Yang Tai Chi sequence with a deeper understanding of this energetic and physical practice.
